The drywall has been removed from the ceiling and exterior walls. The can lights will be removed from the ceiling and much of the wiring in the room will be changed.

By the way, the 10' wide bay window will be replaced with an 8' wide flush window. The bottom of the window will be same height as the bottom of the other windows, which will require building up part of the outside wall that's under the window. Replacing this window will be a major project. It'll be done in September or early October. More on that later!
