| This is the east end. The vertical studs had very little support under them but carried a signficant load. This caused the studs to push the floor beneath them down about 3/8" (9.5 mm). I cut a wedge on the end of the of the outward most short cross member shown in the picture and beat the snot out of it until it had lifted the studs the required distance. Then I tapped the other end into place. I added a couple more blocks to support the plywood floor. |
