Squash Blocks transfer the load from a post on top of the floor through to a post or the foundation below the floor. Two squash blocks we installed transfer the load to the foundation (without posts in the basement) and four transfer the load to basement concrete floor through a pole or fortified wall section in the basement. Only two of the six squash blocks are shown in this section.
