Timon's room is in the NW corner of the house. Timon was an exchange student from Germany that lived with us for most of the 2015-2016 school year. Shortly after he moved in, he asked if he could paint his room. Ok with me! So I sent Sarah, Timon, and some money to the hardware store. Sarah and Andrew helped Timon paint his room - and, of course, they had a blast. (Anything that involved Timon was fun.) I really liked what he/they painted in the room. Timon returned to Germany in June of 2016. Tragically, he is no longer with us. As noted on the home page, Timon's family lived in my house for a year from August 2018 until July 2019. His brother Michael stayed in this room during their year-long visit. I wish I could have kept the room intact - the "decor" reminded me of Timon every time I went in there. But the changes that are planned for that room ("New Office") are significant and would have made it challenging to properly retain his creativity. Nearly everything you see in the following pictures will change. (A French door will be installed between the living room and Timon's room, a patio door will replace the windows, and the pocket door into the bathroom will become a small close for the bathroom.) So ... I attempted to capture a bit of Timon in these pictures before I pulled down the drywall. |
